FAQs for MATERIAL HANDLING EQUIPMENT
-
The 5,000 lb. capacity (or 5K) is the maximum weight the forklift is safely rated to lift. This limit is crucial for safety and machine integrity. You must not attempt to lift items heavier than this rating. The actual safe lifting capacity may also decrease if the load is very wide or lifted to maximum height, so always consult the machine's load chart before operating.
-
Our Mitsubishi 5,000 lb. Industrial Forklift typically uses Cushion Tires, which are best suited for smooth, indoor surfaces like warehouse floors, paved yards, or concrete. If you plan to use a forklift on rough terrain, uneven gravel, or dirt lots, you would need a specialized Rough Terrain Forklift (which we may have available for sale or rent upon special request).
-
Due to their size and weight, forklifts must be transported on a suitable flatbed or tilt-bed trailer. We offer delivery and pickup services for an additional fee from our Santa Ana facility. Our industrial forklifts typically run on propane. You must return the unit with a full tank of propane (or equivalent fuel level), or a refueling surcharge will apply.
